Installation of fire extinguisher
First: Make sure
Make sure, that you purchased the right type of fire extinguishers for your site
Second: Important notes
- Does the fire extinguisher rating provide sufficient square meter coverage for the premises?
- What type of wall fire extinguisher is being mounted to?
- Cables/pipework behind the installation wall?
- The amount of traffic the installation location is subject to (this can help to prevent accidental demounting, damage, and misuse)
- Potential for damage to occur to the fire extinguisher in its installed location (eg forklifts operating in the area)
- Accessibility to the fire extinguisher in the event of a fire
Third: Attaching to the wall
Each fire extinguisher supplied by our company is supplied with a wall bracket. This is a simple hook that requires 2 or 3 wall fixings.
Forth: Installation height
The bottom of the extinguisher should be mounted no less than 10cm from the floor level.
The top of the fire extinguisher handle should be mounted to be no more than 120cm from the floor level.
